Kake's Lizard Ridge Blanket

A pattern from knitty.com; it's a 24-square blanket knitted in Noro Kureyon. Kat got me started on this when she gave me two balls of Kureyon at the craft swap.

The pattern uses short rows to make wiggly lines; the squares end up with little bumps in them. You're supposed to block them flat before you sew them together, but people keep telling me that I should leave them bumpy because they look nice. Haven't quite decided yet.

I'm getting roughly three squares for every two balls, and a ball of Kureyon costs about £4.50, so each square is costing £3, and the completed blanket will have cost £72. But that is £72 worth of FUN, so I don't care.

Shades I've definitely used: #124, #138, #154, #156, #163, #170, #173, #180, #208. Possibly others but I've lost some of the ball bands. Some of the squares use more than one shade.

Progress as of 15 June 2007: 16 squares.
