First swatch

Special abbreviations:

Cast on 20 st.
- Row 1: RSB, P2, K6, P2, RSB.
- Row 2: WSB, K2, P6, K2, WSB.
- Row 3: RSB, P2, slip next 2 st onto cable needle leaving it at front of work, K2, K2 from cable needle, K2, P2, RSB.
- Row 4: As row 2.
- Row 5: As row 1.
- Row 6: As row 2.
- Row 7: RSB, P2, K2, slip next 2 st onto cable needle leaving it at back of work, K2, K2 from cable needle, P2, RSB.

Second swatch

Third swatch
Lambswool knitted double on 5mm needles. Cast on 29 stitches and work in linen stitch as follows:

- Row 2:K1, P1, (slip 1 purlwise with yarn in back, P1) to last stitch, K1.
Odd-numbered rows are the right side.
