Historical version 1 of Kake's Noro Scarf For Art (view current version)
I bought a skein of Noro Iro shade 51 from Peter Jones in Sloane Square, since I'd just bought a Debbie Bliss book with a coat pattern in that I wanted to try. I ended up finding it easier to make the coat in shade 26, though, so I had this skein of shade 51 to use up. I am going to make a winter scarf for Art.
Having worked on the coat, I know that garter stitch can sometimes not show the colour changes off too well, and moss and stocking stitch both look pretty good. A whole scarf in moss stitch would drive me crazy, and stocking stitch isn't reversible, so I'm going to do a border of moss stitch and then alternating panels of stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch. I hope it works...
