I'm using black [[Sirdar Wow]] because he likes chenillyness but he also likes throwing his jumpers in the washer and tumbler. This stuff is velvety soft but 100% polyester.
I'm modelling it on one he already has that he says fits him well. I'm using black [[Sirdar Wow]] because he likes chenillyness but he also likes throwing his jumpers in the washer and tumbler. This stuff is velvety soft but 100% polyester.

I'm basing it on the [[http://www.woolworks.org/patterns/raglan.html top-down raglan pattern]] but because the Wow gauge is so huge I had to change the neck a bit to make it fit over a head. I also wrote out the pattern in detail because I'm using [[baby cable rib]] and I wanted the cables to line up.
I'm doing a K3P3 rib all the way up, as requested. I'm getting a gauge of 6 st per 9cm, and I want the body of the jumper to be about 55cm across. I'm going to knit in the round, so I need to use a multiple of 6 stitches to make the pattern work right. 72 stitches comes to 108cm, so that's what I'm going with. Yes, this is another home-made pattern.

Use 6mm needles. Size: one size fits doop (36cm collar).
Use 7mm needles. Size: one size fits doop. I will measure him and put his actual chest measurement up here at some point. He is slim, if that helps.

Cast on 72 stitches. Work K3 P3 rib in the round until x cm long (x will be noted here at a later date).

doop is very fussy about his clothes. Very very very fussy. However he has graciously allowed me to knit him a jumper.
