Casting on
- Tubular cast-on
- Provisonal cast-on, or provisional cast-on around a knitting needle - for when you're going to want to pick up and continue knitting from a cast-on edge. Also known as "invisible cast-on". (See kitchener stitch for one reason why you might want to do this.)
